About this Cook
I am a graphic designer in Minnesota. I like to be creative and found that I can also be creative in the kitchen, trying out and modifying recipes and creating new ones.
My favorite things to cook
My new favorite is my veggie white pizza that my husband and I made. I like recipes that have fewer ingredients and the fewer pans to get dirty the better.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I like to make German Christmas cookies with my mom.
My cooking triumphs
I am still a work in progress. I did make a vegetarian lasagna once that everyone liked even though it had no meat in it.
My cooking tragedies
I can never seem to bake the perfect chocolate chip cookie, something always goes wrong.

Lazygirl's Ground Turkey Stroganoff
I am giving this 5 stars because I thought this was a great recipe to make when you are in a hurry to make something for dinner and have little time. It was fast and easy and you can add other items to it, such as mushrooms. We had enough for leftovers the next day too and since I was playing tennis 2 days in a row, this was a great recipe to come home too and not worry about what to make. Thanks!

Asian Noodle and Pasta Salad
I made this for a potluck and it turned out fairly well, but I thought the dressing was missing something, but not sure what. Perhaps a bit of vinegar? Mine turned out a bit dry too because I think I had too much pasta. I used prepackaged carrot slaw instead of having to slice the carrots too. Overall, pretty good, but needs some more tweaking.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup
Great recipe for the crockpot, I just made this and I think it can also be enjoyed in the summer months too.. makes a lot of leftovers. I think cooking it for 7 hours though seems to be a bit long. I took out the chicken after 5 hours and it all seemed done to me, so not sure why it needs to go back in for 2 more hours. Thanks for recipe.. tastes good.
