About this Cook
I am a mom to 2 boys,7 and 1,and a wife of 11years and i love this website. I am totally addicted!!!!!! I love to cook and bake for all my family and friends. My best friend usually has a request for something baked every week(except the time i forgot to add the sugar to the pumpkin cheese cake)I cook for my whole family for all occasions and birthdays.
My favorite things to cook
Well lately I have been trying indian and italian cooking. I love to bake cookies.I always bake something for my son's grade two class, for halloween i made kitty litter cookies with litter box and everything and they were so freaked out but they did eat them. Basically I love to try new things but I also like when people make requests too!!!!!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well I have some from both sides of my family. First is my mom's end-of-the-month-chicken-soup. There is no real chicken in it and if I told you what was in it you wouldn't go near it but to me it meant that my mom was doing her best for us and that is what made it taste so good. I also found out later that it is good for hangovers! Next is my Mother-in-law's stuffing, it is so basic and so good. When I took over making all the family meals, she gave mr the recipe and shortly after when all the family was around we joked about how I could finally change the stuffing, well the room went silent. There is no changing a good thing. As my mom says "if it isn't broke, don't fix it".
My cooking triumphs
My 25 to 30 pound turkeys that to this day turn out perfect everytime, and any kind of cookies I can bake with my son Josh, no matter how big the mess.
My cooking tragedies
Slaving over this gourmet pumpkin cheesecake that my friend wanted me to make and I forgot to add the sugar. It was terrible!! And my first time making cheese broccoli soup, it was so thick you needed a knife and that is all I am going to tell you.

Cat Poop Cookies II
I have been making these cookies for my son's class for years and yes, they are bland so i do add a 1/4 cup of sugar and i melt in some real choco chips for flavor but, I also put candy, stickers and treats under the "litter' as an extra surprise for that kids. They will eat enough "" at a classroom party anyway. They are mostly used a visual.

English Royalty Chocolate Chip Scones
These tasted good but ended up like rubber. I added more milk as some of the other reviews had said to do but still was not impressed. I like more of a biscuit-type scone I quess so I will keep looking for one like that.
