About this Cook
Hello! I'm a working college student hoping to become a veterinarian. Apart from my time in the kitchen, I enjoy dancing (ballet/jazz/salsa,) listening to and collecting music, reading, collecting fairies, shopping, expanding my make-up collection, taking up manual crafts, going to the beach, laughing, and spending time at the gym and with friends and family.
My favorite things to cook
Although I do cook a variety of salty foods, more than anything I love to bake!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I enjoy helping my Dad roast a pig in the backyard every Christmas Eve and I love making baked sweet potatoes (with honey, cinnamon, sugar, and marshmallows) for Thanksgiving with my Mom. I've learned most of my cooking by watching my family - my Father is an ex-restaurant cook, my Mother is amazing in all areas of the kitchen, my Grandmother is so creative and meticulous, and one of my Brothers is in culinary school. It's great! I often hear about my friends coming over for dinner when I'm not even home, hahaha.
My cooking triumphs
I've had a variety of triumphs, I can say, (and semi-disasters as well), but I am most proud and get the most requests for my cheesecake, chocolate chip cookies, and oatmeal raisin cookies.
My cooking tragedies
Until I was about 13, every cake that I made was as hard as a rock! I have no idea why! It was so disheartening, but I guess I changed something because they do come out wonderful now.

Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes
Since I'm in Miami I decided to put them at 350 degrees instead and after 20 minutes they came out PERFECT! Also, I was okay with just 2 cups of confectioner's sugar for the icing. They're very addictive and taste amazing!!
