Herbed Mushrooms with White Wine

Tasty, but a bit soggy. I would use less wine next time.

Stuffed Peppers My Way

A little too salty. Tastes much better if you mix the ingredients in a bowl instead of on the stove top.

Alicia's Aloo Gobi

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
This was a good recipe. The next time I make it, I will not add the garam masala. As the dish cooked, it smelled great, just like traditional Aloo Gobi, up until I added the garam masala. The masala overtook the rest of the flavors and altered the dish. I also used only half the required cayenne and still found it way too spicy. Otherwise, a tasty dish.

Connie's Zucchini 'Crab' Cakes

This was very good. I looked in two different grocery stores and was unable to find Old Bay Spice, I don't think they carry it anymore! So I improvised with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Frying them in the oil made them a little greasy, but definitely tasty.

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2007
This recipe is incredibly easy and very delicious. It tastes as good as a cream-based soup but you don't have to feel guilty eating it! I used low-fat sou cream. My boyfriend asks me to make him this all the time.

Magic Peanut Butter Middles

A bit difficult to mold into balls. The end result was a bit bland. I did substitute the confectioners sugar so perhaps that was my problem.

Fantastic and easier than they seem. My boyfriend could not stop eating them, I will definitly be making this again and again. I used Meltables Milk Chocolate in the microwave and it turned out great, easier too.

Deep Dark Chocolate Cake

This was a delicious and moist cake, we all loved it. I halved the recipe and made a single layer round cake instead of a double and substituted yogurt for oil. Yumm, Yumm!

Funnel Cakes II

I used a lot less oil than was called for and I still think I used too much. Besides being a little oily, even after drying with paper towels, these still turned out very much like the ones you get at the fair. I used an extra half cup of milk too and served with the recommended strawberry sauce. Yummy!

Grandma's Eggless, Butterless, Milkless Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2005
This cake was very unusual when baking. The outside burned and the inside barely cooked, despite leaving it in the oven an extra 15 minutes. I didn't have cocoa or vanilla so I used lemon zest and lemon juice instead. Tasted alright, nothing special.

Banana Butter Icing

This was nice and easy, but a bit too sweet. I substituted one tablespoon of butter for low-fat cream cheese which turned out well.

Banana Loaf Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2005
This was an easy and fail proof cake. I had all the ingredients I needed and everyone loved it. Keep it as is and don't substitute, it's already low-fat and tastes great. I used a litle banana frosting to sweeten it but next time I think I'll use cream cheese.
