I learned how to cook when I was 6 yrs old and have loved it ever since. I read collect recipes cookbooks, and I'm a semi-professional baker.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook I don't mind doing complex recipes as long as they are a REAL hit with my family and clients. Otherwise day-to-day I cook pretty simply.
My favorite family cooking traditions
grilling outdoors all year long - usually steaks chicken. Crockpot meals in the wintertime like stews, ribs and choucroute alsace. Meals with asian accents. Stir-Fry. Mexican favorites.
My cooking triumphs
a Country-French-inspired chicken dish with tomatoes, cognac, and tons of fresh garlic, served with Saffron Rice. All of my cakes and cookies are well-received by my family clients.
My cooking tragedies
As a teen, making homemade enchiladas I used flour instead of corn tortillas, and I used cayenne pepper instead of chili powder. They were pasty, gummy, terribly hot inedible.
