Caramel Apple Bars III

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
This was waaay too sweet for me & I had to throw the whole thing out - my son couldn't even eat it. I cut back on the sugar but it was still too much. Thank you for sharing, but I'll try another recipe next time.

Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
So Good!! Wow! OK I made a few changes - I only used 1 1/4 cups sugar & I used applesauce instead of the oil, I also ran out of cinnamon so I only used 2 tsp - it's Perfect!! I was craving blueberries instead of strawberries & it turned out so unbelievably good. I can't wait to try other fruits with this. Thank you so much for sharing!

Excellent, thanks for sharing! Very easy to work with using my cookie press - after refrigerating. Made one batch with vanilla & one with almond - both were yummy!!

Berry Shortbread Dreams

Unbelievable! These went SO fast at my husband's work & I myself couldn't stop eating them! (Definitely putting in extra time at the gym!!) I made one batch with vanilla & one with almond extracts & both were yummy! I did use a pastry bag to fill them with & that was so much easier. Definitely recommended for any occasion!

Grandma's Gingersnaps

This is the BEST Gingersnap cookie recipe EVER! Soo easy! I just made these for a cookie drive & they were awesome! I usually make gingerbread men but they're so time consuming & just a lot of work - these were super easy & yummy! Thanks for another recipe I will add to my Christmas Cookie List!!

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
Excellent Idea - Thank You! I used this as a guide but did things really differently - we LOVE fried turkey but it's not exactly health conscious so I used the same seasonings (Cajun) & did what the others suggested - I cut up celery & onions, placed them on the bottom & poured 1/4 cup Chicken Stock then put my 3 lb turkey breast on top! So moist & yummy - I will definitely use the slow cooker to cook turkey in the future!

I made these last year for my husband's work & will definitely make again! I agree with the others that coconut rum tastes best though! Very yummy!

Baked Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
OMG This was the BEST! Thank you for FINALLY giving me a lower fat/calorie version of my favorite! The guys at my husband's work LOVED this & no one even knew it was low fat! The only change I made was the buttermilk - I didn't have any so I used skim milk (since that's what was in the fridge.) Didn't seem to make any difference & was still yummy! Thanks for such a great recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
I REALLY liked this recipe & so did my picky toddler! I did slash the calories though by using deli thin ham, reduced fat swiss cheese & reduced fat cream soup. I'm personally on WW & got it down to 5 points for those of you that are on it too. Don't forget to add your seasoning - garlic powder worked very well! Thanks for such a great idea for the slowcooker - I appreciate it!!

Meatloaf Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2007
My husband LOVED this recipe - said "This one's a keeper!" I took "PotatoFreak's" suggestion & used multiple cheeses & pepperoni on the inside. Afterplacing the meatloaf in the pan, I wrapped it in bacon, baked for 1hr & 10 minutes covered, then 20 minutes uncovered. Moist & perfect! Thank you so much for a great dish!

Decorator Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2007
Terrible Recipe. I had to seriously fix this recipe - the previous reviewer was right - tasted like butter & the sugar was so sweet it hurt my teeth. I added crisco after the fact & extra milk to lessen the sweetness & butter taste. Was easy to work with but I'll look elsewhere for other frosting recipes

Chicken Breasts Stuffed with Perfection

Unbelievable! Okay I didn't have time to go to the store, so I substituted the sun dried tomatoes with roasted red peppers, I used fat free sour cream & ready to use italian seasoned bread crumbs (which I coated entire chicken breast with). Definitely a keeper!

Baked Tilapia in Garlic and Olive Oil

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2007
Okay I made this tonight & I gotta say neither my husband or I cared for it at all. I Love garlic, but this was way too much. Definitely overwhelming & left no taste to be had except garlic & onions. Won't make again

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2007
These were AWESOME! I made them for my husband & he couldn't stop eating them! Definitely a hit here although I didn't have pb cups so instead I added those semi-sweet chocolate chunks (instead of choc. chips) Refrigerated the dough for about 2 hours, rolled into balls on a baking stone & they not only tasted amazing but were beautiful as well! Not flat like so many other cookies. Slightly underbake them & they stay chewy too! Definitely recommended!

Chewy Brownie Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2007
These were absolutely fabulous! I made them for my husband's work & everyone went crazy for them. I did change some things though. I did not add nuts (you never know who's allergic) & instead of semi-sweet chips I added white chocolate chips to the mix with a few on top for decoration. I also refrigerated the dough for about 2 hours & they shaped beautifully. Seriously, like something I would have bought in a bakery. Definitely recommended!

Pizza Dough III

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
I LOVE this recipe - so quick & easy but I changed it a little. I like my dough to have flavor so I added garlic, & lots of italian seasonings, i also used Splenda instead of white sugar, added 2 extra Tbs of flour & it came out amazing! The extra leftovers were awesome for bread rolls & used with dipping oils, enjoy & thanks for the great recipe!

Pumpkin Cookies I

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2006
Absolutely FANTASTIC cookies! Mine weren't cakelike at all, but chewy, soft and perfect. I changed a few things, didn't have butter so I used the butter-flavor crisco sticks (maybe that's what made them chewy) I added chopped nuts, omitted the raisins, & used chocolate chips. This recipe is a keeper!

Chicken and Corn Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2006
Excellent Recipe! My entire family loves this dish, as do I. I added a large can of crushed tomatoes and like it better. The other way was a bit too thick and this thins it out some without being too soup-like. Still a hearty chili! 5 stars!

Christmas Stars

So Yummy and really beautiful! These were a BIG hit and I will definitely put them in my permanent collection! Time consuming, yes but worth the effort! Instead of colored sugar, I sifted powdered sugar on top, everyone thought they were gourmet!
