About this Cook
I LOVE AllRecipes! It has been a big help in my cooking adventures. I never had an interest in cooking until I was hired to prepare samples at a local grocery store. When I saw the delight food brought to people and how it brought so many together.. I fell in love. Now I love to cook! I also have a passion for dogs and even bake dog treats. Isn't life fun????
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Italian foods, but I also like to experiment. I like different ethnic foods. I think my favorite thing to experiment with is making new and exciting appetizers. You never know what will be served next time we get together! Enjoy!
My cooking triumphs
I always find a real thrill comes from making something new and trying it out on friends and they talk about it AND request it from then on. I guess making people happy is a real triumph.
My cooking tragedies
Probably my biggest tragedy was when I was dating my husband and still learning about cooking. He requested I put a tomato on the grilled cheese I was making. Well, it was summer and the tomatoes were nice and juicy - especially the huge slice I cut.. as was the VELVEETA cheese (yes.. juicy and a BIG slice). As you can imagine.. it "gooshed" everywhere.. but he still married me. And, no, I have never attempted to make that again! hehe

Shrimp Linguine Alfredo
This was absolutely delicious!! I didn't change a thing - except to add the shrimp after the sauce thickened and to add dried parsley (didn't have fresh) to the sauce mixture. IT WAS SOOOOOOO GOOD! I will make this again for sure!

Seven Spiced Shark Steaks
I hate to be the first to say I didn't like this, but its true. I followed the recipe, except cut the ingredients (all but shark) in half. I still felt the spice overwhelmed the fish and I could even taste it. I will not make this again. Guess I like my thing with less POW! I just wanted to taste the fish and I didn't at all. Sorry guys..
