Baked French Swirl Toast

this was good i didnt have the problem with it being mushy like others did, i only used 2 cups of (2%) milk. i forgot to put anything on it, powdered sugar, syrup, butter. but it was a great easter brunch dish

Buche de Noel

I made two buche de noel's last year this one and a martha stewart one, I must say this one was easier, looked nicer, and had a much better mousse. The cake however was not as good, I must agree w/ others it was quite eggy but that is probably what made it easier to roll. The eggyness of the cake is the only reason it didn't get 5 stars.

Baked Chicken Nuggets

I folowed the baking instructions of another and baked it on a wire rack, other than that i followed the recipe exactly and used freshly grated parmesan cheese, these were the best chicken nuggets I've ever had.

Mock Filets

After reading many reviews I was afraid of having mini meatloaves, so I used just under 3/4 cups of breadcrumbs, I only made half of the topping and used it on 3 of the "filets" the other three I topped with a mixture of A1 steak sauce and what was left of the ketchup topping, these came out wonderfully. I only cooked them for 8 mins the first time because they were getting too dark, and 5 the 2nd time which was enough time because they were done and juicy on the inside. Served with creamy au gratin potatoes (from this site) I will definatly make these again

Russian Tea Cakes I

I've been making and eating these cookies/cakes every christmas I can remember and there are a few things I've learned along the way: all sugar and flour should be sifted before using, this makes them much lighter. Good butter and pure vanilla extract are a must, dont skimp on ingredients since there are so few (it does matter). In a family of people who love nuts they always prefer these without, the cookie can then just kind of melt in your mouth.

Chicken Enchiladas I

I only made half of the recipe and due to an abundance of jalapano peppers I substituted two jalapanos for the bell pepper and since other reviewers said it was too runny I used the tomato sauce and no water. This turned out great and I will definatly make it again

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

followed directions exactly, except I don't like onions so i chopped them rather than leaving them as rings, i love cheese so next time i might put a little more in, but these were excellent Update: after giving this recipe to friends some have had problems with it spilling in their ovens perhaps put a pan on the rack below the potatoes

Strawberry Bread

great way to use up strawberries, i didnt use nuts because i dont like them and had to cook for an exrtra 15 mins. Also great with syrup from the christmas strawberry bread (on this site), the strawberry extract isn't necessary

this cake was great, the icing is a must. One shouldnt be too concerned about the raw egg whites they dont support bacterial growth as well as the yolks do.

Pepperoni Bread

i made this bread and everyone loved it, the only problem i had with it was that the bread formed a large bubble and the cheese was oozing out, but after it was cut it was not so noticable.
