About this Cook
My cooking triumphs
My husband and I hadn't been married long. He joined the Air Force and was soon stationed at Osan Air Base in South Korea. I came over with him, even though I was not sponsored, we lived on the economy (this was 1975!) We were the only married couple in his group of airmen he had gone through training together, so I wanted to make a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner for them. My husband, John, had to travel to Seoul to the commissary to get the Turkey and fixings, and, since we didn't have an oven, I was able to borrow one from a nearby mission. It actually turned out great, and we had dinner at around three and hung out until late when I served them turkey sandwiches. I was from then on known as "mother". It was wonderful.
My cooking tragedies
The first meal I cooked for my boyfriend (soon to be husband) was tuna noodle casserole. I was 17. It turned out almost perfect until I decided to top it with a can of deep fried onions. It was ruined. Yuk!

Cheesy Baked Cauliflower II
I love cauliflower and made this last night. I made a few little changes. Olive oil instead of butter, red pepper flakes to give it a kick, and I didn't cook it nearly as long. But it was great.
