About this Cook
I live in small town Montana and absolutely love it. Easy paced, quiet living. I love the outdoors & am an avid gardener. I grow my own herbs for cooking & just because I love to sit outside and smell the wonderful scent from them.
My favorite things to cook
Potato Salad is one of my specialties. I think bread making is one of the most satisfying things I do. Since I just found out I am allergic to soy (it is found in almost all processed foods now) I am once again giving up cake mixes, etc. & back to scratch. I actually enjoy it! Who knew!
My cooking tragedies
Along time ago, 20 some years, I found a fudge recipe on the side of a frosting box & decided to try it. Well, I made it but when I tried to cut it, I couldn't get my knife to hardly make a dent. I took it out of the pan & my 1st husband and his brother played frisbee with it out in the field. They lost it in the tall grass. It was never seen again.

Best Yet Turkey Chili
We really loved this chili. I liked it because it was simple to throw together, I made it on my lunch hour & reheated it for dinner. My husband loved the flavor & kept coming back for more. I used hamburger instead of ground turkey & did add more spices. I also used 3 fresh tomatoes along with the canned.

Sour Cream Roast
This was okay but the gravy was kind of a let down. Needs something, garlic maybe, more salt definitely. The roast was tender, we all liked it. I'll probably try it again with a few changes.

Emma's Belgian Waffles
These waffles were wonderful. Crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. They almost melt in your mouth. I will definately keep this recipe and make it often.
