Fancy Fruit Pizza

mmmmmm! Have made this twice, both times with rave reviews. I used a packaged sugar cookie mix baked in a springform pan (makes for a thick decadent crust). this last time I added a teaspoon of almond extract with the vanilla. Wow! added a whole new level of flavor.

Chiles Rellenos (Stuffed Peppers)

yummy! well worth the effort. If this isn't better than those boring cheese only kind!! My hubby who's all into "authentic only" thought they were fabulous. A great way to use my many poblanos from the garden.

Maryann's Upside Down Rhubarb Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2008
Tart, creamy, cakey, yummy!! The best! I used a french vanilla cake mix and it was just dreamy, my family can never wait until anything cools though, so I will have to make it again. I will definately be using this as a rhubarb standby----- oh and sooo easy!

I used to eat these as a kid and don't remember liking them that much, but made these because i had brought back persimmons from Cali. These were sooo yummy! We could not stop eating them, very comforting and good. Thanks for a great recipe to use up an exotic fruit!

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2007
My hubby said "I didn't know you could make quiche!" and he used to be a chef in a fancy hotel in California! So 5 stars for this easy yummy quiche. I used canned spinach cuz that's what I had and a variety of cheese substitutes. Oh yeah, and a little bacon and cut the butter to 3 tbs. My kids could not get enough, I'm making it again tonight.

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2007
Really Yummy! I put them out with fried ones and my hubby picked these as best, who knew? I used veggie oil instead of olive, that's what I had, and they were just great! I also used the ziploc bag method which seemed weird with the oil but worked really well. I think you should be able to alter the seasonings to taste and the possibilties are endless. thanks for a great recipe!

Yummmmmy!! I used oil instead of butter- no topping- threw in some butterscotch chips and made mini-muffins(baked 8-10 mins.) Soo melt in your mouth good. My 11 year old made them, so super easy. Thanks for the great recipe.

Croutons

WOW! What fun! So good, so easy. cut up bread, drizzled butter with a little ranch mix and some garlic powder baked and enjoyed. Read all the reviews and made a double batch on first try figuring I'd bring some to my sis who just had a baby... Well, my kids gobbled them all up. I had to hide some for tonites salad. Thanks for the great recipe. I work at a bakery and have stale bread laying around all the time.. not anymore!!

Spaghetti Pie II

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2007
My hubby is a very picky eater but said I could add this to his list(of about 2 things) he could eat every day! Everytime I make it it's a little different depending on what I have in the house but i always put it in a 9x13 (big family) and we still have very little left over. It will work with any combo of pasta/ jarred sauce/ meat you have on hand, thus making it very versatile for a busy mom. Thank you so much for this great easy delectible meal idea!!!

Chocolate Banana Cake

MMMMM!! I made cupcakes with this recipe with a few of my own touches-- I used three and a half large bananas, i used jumbo eggs and one had 2 yolks, i added milk chocochips and i took them out of the oven after 16 min to ensure they didn't dry out. They were good plain but I added store bought coconut pecan frosting and they are decadant! Fun, easy and deliscious!
