Desserts! I love trying new dessert recipes, especially cookies. I bake them, taste them and then get them out of my house! :-} What's that saying...."If I can't be thin, then I want all my friends to be fat." My dad tried once to institute a food tradition, "Traditional Sunday morning donuts". But it didn't last too long. Maybe only a few weeks. I guess my family isn't much on traditions. My latest triumph is homemade dinner rolls. They turned out delicious! My husband wanted to know where I bought them. One time I made an absolutely beautiful apple pie, complete with the lattice work crust on top. When I took it out of the oven, I couldn't have been more please. The smell was fantastic and the visual was even better. I proudly presented it to my husband after dinner, but when I cut it the inside was like soup. The recipe didn't call for flour in the filling and since it was my first apple pie I didn't know to add it. I sat at the table and cried. My beautiful pie was slushy. :-{
