Yep! This is the best apple pie I've ever made. I took a reviewers advice & made the pie just as the recipe says. Very good. BUT, I did miss the cinnamon so next time I will add the cinnamon to the apples....besides being delicious it looks pretty awesome too. EDIT: made AGAIN, with cinnamon added to the apples (not the syrup) WONDERFUL!!! THE BEST!

I read other reviews and decided to use less apples. I like to use measurements as some apples are bigger or smaller especially if you've picked them yourself!!! I used 2 cups of apples and for myself, I found that to be the right amount. Otherwise I followed the recipe. I thought the cake was delicious.

Good recipe. I did beat the egg whites first...I think that adds to the waffles being alittle more light & fluffy! Crisp on the outside and light fluffy on the inside...just the way waffles should be. Add fresh berries & whip cream...yum!
