i have been cooking since i got out on my own. i started with magazines like cuisine and eventually went over to bon appetit which i claim to have almost every issue in print! i cook as a hobby on the weekends but now that i have children i do not often make the things i like to eat..things that no one else does like seafood and lamb. i am a staunch supporter of this site and most things i cook these days come from here!

anything that needs a candy thermometer--i run screaming at recipes that call for one!

Iron Range Pot Roast
excellent flavor! very highly seasoned--probably the best prok roast i've ever made! DO be careful to add the potatoes with about 2 hours cooking time left or they'll be mush...very good mush but mush. i also thickened the sauce to gravy but totally not necessary!

Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken
excellent! the garlic really comes through. i sprinkled extra evoo on top before baking and layered sauce and more cheese the last 5 minutes of baking.

Ham and Potatoes Au Gratin
this was VERY soupy...but great taste although a little on the salty side. i covered while baking and it took a GOOD hour.
