Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2005
There was not much flavor at all. I did as others suggested and added white wine, while cutting down on the broth..it was just bland. I even added shrimpb to give it a little something, but it did no good. I will not make again!

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2005
I thought this dish was alright. Bland if you ask me. I would suggest you add more seasoning.I think I went wrong by using brown rice instead of a fried rice. Definitley use some type of flavored rice for this dish...it might just be better. I will try it again..

Oven Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2005
THESE WERE GREAT! Everyone loved them...I personally added extra pepper flakes b/c I like my food spicy, and I also added extra minced garlic with some garlic powder sprinkled on top of the potatoes before putting them in the oven. I would advise you add some grease spray onto the foil, as I noticed while cooking, the potates begin to stick and when you try to mix them around they just tear the foil.!

Pleasant Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2005
These pork chops were good, but the sauce is what really made them. Make sure (as the others say) to but the thick pork chops...also make sure to follow the directions perfectly..I completely messed up - didn't follow anything and they STILL came out good. You will want to add extra broth while they cook...I noticed that mine were dry. With that in mind, I smothered them in the sauce. I would add extra paparika...and if you like spicy food - add extra pepper or some red flakes to give it a kick. Otherwise you might find it a little dull.

Jenny's Jambalaya

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
The guys loved this meal...it was each to make with out much work. I did change the recipe up a little. Instead of long grain rice I used brown rice, I did not have hot sauce, so I dispursed 2 tablespoons of red pepper flakes instead; which did just the trick and made it spicy, but still edible.n Instead of shredded chicken, I pre-cooked cubed chicken breast in a skillet. It came out great with tons of left overs....The boys loved it!

Italian Sausage and Zucchini

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
Everyone liked this meal. I added extra (turkey)smoked sausage, and additional veggies such as: asparagus, and bell pepper, I also put extra zucchini and squash. I placed the veggies and sausage into a traditional italian marinara sause and let simmer for 20 min as another cook had suggested. I then added basil, italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and parmesan to the sauce for extra kick. To end it off, I served the sauce, sausage, and veggies over a wheat shell pasta... Left overs were even better...

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
I had taken advice that the others had offered, I spread the beans on the tortilla layers and added the taco seasoning. I added Mild Taco Bell taco sauce (1/2 the amount required) with held from adding the tomatoes w/ green chilies, in stead I added Picante Medium - Chunky Salsa (16 oz). It was great, especially if you love spicy foods,it tasted pretty good as a left over(if you don't mind the look of eating wet dog food). My boyfriend didn't think it was the best, but his roommate loved it.
