I love to bake, that's probably my favorite and the thing I am best at. However I mainly bake items for my family who all have special dietary needs (one has Chrones, another is diabetic, Celiac) and the list goes on and on. I used to think I could cook but because of the aliments in my husbands family I've had to get rid of my old recipes and now have to adapt and change so many. I'm getting better though thanks to reading the reviews and trial and error.

Rich and Simple French Onion Soup
Fantastic recipe. Simple, Quick and great tasting. I love French Onion soup and have only before had it at dinner out so it was my first time making it. Was also pretty cheap to make considering it costs $7 a bowl here. I followed the recipe pretty much exact. I used though 1 white onion and 1 vidale onion. I did brown the onions. I also got some jalapeno/cheese rolls from our local bakery guy for very cheap at the market so I cut those up into croutons and cooked them until they were a little crisp. Amazing!

Boston Baked Beans
Great recipe, my first time making baked beans from scratch and came out great. The night before I soaked pinto beans in ice cold water. I first fried up the bacon in a deep pan. I removed the bacon and put aside for later. I used that same pan with the fat and bacon bits to cook the beans for almost 1.5 hrs. This simmered the water down to very little so I didn't remove the water since I figured there was a lot of flavor in the water. After that I just added the bbq sauce ingredients minus the brown sugar (all still in the same pot). I also added about 1/4 teaspoon of emeril's essense and 1/4 teaspoon of dried chiptole powder too. After the sauce was done, I added the bacon all crumbled up and some left over ground taco meat I had in the fridge from the previous night. Baked it all in the oven for about 3 hours. Came out great!

Raspberry Trifle
Great recipe! Very easy and tastes light and refreshing. I used fresh raspberries along with a raspberry angel food cake I got from the market. It's a very forgiving flexible recipe. Everyone enjoyed it and went back for seconds.
