I have a gaggle of kids*(ages 10,7, & 4) 2 dogs, a bunny and a partridge in a pear tree =) luckily just one husband ;). Things are always crazy and we're always on the go. Its a high speed low drag kinda life. But I wouldn't have it any other way.
My favorite things to cook
In the winter I make muffins at least 4 times a week; My kids like to run around singing "do you know the muffin mom, the muffin mom, the muffin mom" I love cooking from scratch and my lil princess Taylor "one teaspoon" Paxton always down for the ride.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mon, Wed, and Sat are set "dessert nights". Sunday's jammie snack days, in the winter we stay in PJ's all day and I prepare a feast of finger food for football and we graze rather than sit formally.
My cooking triumphs
My cakes haves caused something of a stir among family and friends and I never sacrifice taste for a more aesthetically pleasing cake. My husband is a huge fan of my red and white lasagna.
My cooking tragedies
My first meal for my husband (isn't there always a tragic story associated with the first meal). We had just moved into a townhouse and the dust caused me to be completely stuffy (for about a month after moving) and I couldn’t taste a thing. His favorite meal is Lasagna which of course being the dutiful domestic goddess I am I HAD to make for him it seems I overdid it a little on the garlic...well a lot. I used the jarred minced garlic with didn't seem very powerful enough to me. He ate it smiling all the way asking for seconds to keep me from tearing up (ahhhh that's the good stuff). He teases me now telling me I nearly burned off his tongue.
