I have a gaggle of kids*(ages 8-B,5-B,3-G) 2 dogs, a bunny and a partridge in a pear tree =) luckily just one husband ;). Things are always crazy and we're always on the go. Its a high speed low drag kinda life.
*My boys like to gross me out by bringing me worms and bugs pictures of them along with real one. I shriek, run screaming and they giggle manically (no the sight of a worm dosent really cause me to go into hysterics... unless its a creepy spider) I suppose my just desserts for laying in wait behind the shower curtain until an unexpecting munchkin come in to go and has the "P" scared outta him =).
My favorite things to cook
Any thing we can make from scratch. And my princess Taylor "one teaspoon" Paxton is always down for the ride.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mon, Wed, and Sat are set "dessert nights". Sunday's jammie snack days, in the winter we stay in PJ's all day and I prepare a feast of finger food for football and we graze rather than sit formally.
My cooking triumphs
My daughters 3rd birthday cake!!!! Also my red and white lasagna.
My cooking tragedies
My first meal for my husband (isn't there always a tragic story associated with the first meal). We had just moved into a townhouse and the dust caused me to be completely stuffy (for about a month after moving) and I couldn’t taste a thing. His favorite meal is Lasagna which of course being the dutiful domestic goddess I am I HAD to make for him it seems I overdid it a little on the garlic...well a lot. I used the jarred minced garlic with didn't seem very powerful enough to me. He ate it smiling all the way asking for seconds to keep me from tearing up (ahhhh that's the good stuff). He teases me now telling me I nearly burned off his tongue.
