Greek Scrambled Eggs

Simple and delicious! I love Feta and it added a nice touch to ordinary scrambled eggs! I did replace the water with milk instead because that's how I like to make my eggs. Thanks!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
Perfect Comfort Food! This was a great, hearty meal for a cold, snowy winter night! I used 4 thick cut pork chops and doubled the amount of sauce. Instead of the wine, I replaced it with chicken broth. I baked first for close to 40 minutes, covered with the sauce and baked for the additional 30 minutes. The pork was so tender! The gravy was delicious and we spooned it over homemade mashed potatoes. Great recipe!!

This was a big hit! Loved the pretzel bottom and the hint of salty with all the sweet. Supper simple dessert to throw together. Will definitely be making again!

Potato Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
Not bad, the mixture was a little dry so I added an extra egg. Probably could have added a little milk or less bread crumbs. They were falling apart a little while frying. The flavor was decent, but could have used a little something more.

Yum!! This is the best! I wouldn't change a thing to the recipe, baked exactly in 25 minutes. Squirted some warm honey on top and was in heaven! Thanks!

Great french toast recipe! I left out the nutmeg and used texas toast slices and fried them in melted butter. Had a great flavor & all I had to do is add a dusting of powder sugar. Thanks!

Pepperoncini Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
Fabulous! So easy and full of flavor! I put my roast in the crockpot still partially frozen and threw the garlic & pepperoncini's on top. Cooked it onl low for almost 10 hours while I was at work. The meat was so tender. Makes great sandwiches! I spread a little bit of mayo on the bun, then added the meat mixture and a slice of provolone cheese. I threw them under the broiler for a bit to toast the bread & melt the cheese. Definitely a keeper!

World's Best Pasta Sauce!

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
This was fantastic!! I had been searching for a great homemade pasta sauce and my search has just ended! Love the mixture of the sweet sausage and ground beef. The only thing I changed was to leave out the fennel seed since I didn't have any. Thanks for a great recipe John!

Gloria's Rum Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2009
Fabulous & so easy! I followed the recipe exactly. Instead of baking in a big bundt pan, I have a tray that has 12 mini bundt pans and baked them in there instead. Kept the temp @ 350 and bake time was 18 minutes. So delicious! Thanks!

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
Fabulous! So easy and very tasty! I covered my cookie sheet with foil and found that one sleeve of crackers covered the whole thing. Definitely follow the tips to let the butter & sugar boil for 3 minutes after it comes to a rolling boil. And, do not stir during that time. I used milk chocolate chips since that's what I had on hand. And, instead of nuts I sprinkled some colored sugar crystals on for the holidays! Threw the whole pan in the fridge for close to an hour and they were set up perfectly. The foil lifted right out of the pan and peeled right off the back of the cookies. Great recipe!

Mom's Mexican Cornbread

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
This was a decent, filling meal. I threw the onions, along with some cumin in with the ground beef while it cooked. I also replaced the jalapenos with a can of green chiles. 50 minutes was plenty of time to cook the casserole. Thanks!

Husband-Friendly Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2009
Fabulous! I loved the contrast of the Gorgonzola with the BBQ sauce. I will say though that next time I will use a different BBQ sauce because it was a little too sweet. Instead of frying up some bacon I used half a package of real bacon bits. I also made my own pizza crust. So good and can't wait to make again!

Southern Dill Potato Salad

Great potato salad! Loved all the flavors in this. I did have to make some substitutions based off of what I did or didn't have. I used onion powder instead of onions, and celery seed instead of celery. I also left out the celery salt. This will definitely become my standard potato salad!

Apple Crisp II

Very good & super easy to make! Next time I may reduce the amount of water, it was a little runny. I used Granny Smith Apples and they added just the right tartness to balance out the sweet of the topping.
