About this Cook
I'm a pushing 30, married gal to a wonderful hubby! I've always liked to cook, just never really had the time. Now that hubby works late most every night it gives me the chance to cook some great dinner. I've really broaden my range of cooking abilities in the last couple of years and it really helps having a hubby that's not picky!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook just about anything, but by far I love to cook any type of pasta dishes! I also love to experiement with new types of cookies and bread!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year around Christmas my sisters, nieces and I always get together for a weekend and do lots of cookie baking!
My cooking triumphs
Any time I hear someone go "MMMMMMMMM" while eating something I cooked is a triumph!! Valentines Day 2009...I successfully made my first lobster tail! It was great!
My cooking tragedies
I cannot...for the life of me...make homemade mac & cheese! Especially ones with a flour/butter base. It always turns out so thick and pasty. Yuck!

World's Best Pasta Sauce!
This was fantastic!! I had been searching for a great homemade pasta sauce and my search has just ended! Love the mixture of the sweet sausage and ground beef. The only thing I changed was to leave out the fennel seed since I didn't have any. Thanks for a great recipe John!

Gloria's Rum Cake
Fabulous & so easy! I followed the recipe exactly. Instead of baking in a big bundt pan, I have a tray that has 12 mini bundt pans and baked them in there instead. Kept the temp @ 350 and bake time was 18 minutes. So delicious! Thanks!

Saltine Toffee Cookies
Fabulous! So easy and very tasty! I covered my cookie sheet with foil and found that one sleeve of crackers covered the whole thing. Definitely follow the tips to let the butter & sugar boil for 3 minutes after it comes to a rolling boil. And, do not stir during that time. I used milk chocolate chips since that's what I had on hand. And, instead of nuts I sprinkled some colored sugar crystals on for the holidays! Threw the whole pan in the fridge for close to an hour and they were set up perfectly. The foil lifted right out of the pan and peeled right off the back of the cookies. Great recipe!
