Corn Pudding V

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2006
Yummy!!!! My husband and I like corn so I decided to try this recipe and we both liked it. I made some changes though. :) I substituted margarine with natural apple sauce and sour cream with fat-free plain yogurt. I also used 1/2 cup of cornbread mix and 1/2 cup of yellow cornmeal. Baked at 350 degrees F for about 90 minutes. Thanks for sharing Becky.

A-Number-1 Banana Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2006
I made half a recipe and replaced milk with plain fat free yogurt and walnuts with sunflower seeds as I didn't have walnuts. I like bananas so I used 4 bananas. The batter was enough to make 12 large muffins. They were very moist and heavy......yum-yum. My hubby has requested that I make them again tomorrow. I think this time I will use a round pan or loaf pan. :) Thanks a lot.

Chinese Steamed Buns With BBQ Pork Filling

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2006
MMMMMMM Yummy!!! I was craving for "dim sum" from my home country and was really happy when I found this recipe. Tried it today and wow!!!!! it was really good.....just like the steamed buns from back home. My husband thought they were delicious too. I made the dough by hand and had to add about 1 more cup of flour like one reviewer did. Thanks so much for the recipe, Carol. Now, I don't feel so homesick. :)

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2006
Yummy buns!! This is the first time I baked buns or bread. Light and tasted very nice. When they were baking in the oven, the house smelt so good. I used half the recipe and made 8 tuna buns (rolls). After kneading the dough, I shaped them into 8 balls (slightly flattened) and let them rise for one hour. Then I made the rolls with tuna filling, let them rise for another 45 minutes, and baked for about 20 minutes. My husband and I loved the buns. Thanks for the great recipe Sally.

Cherry Crunch

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2005
MMMM, YUM-YUM!! My husband loved it and said to put it in the list of recipes to make again. :-) The crunch was really nice and my husband thought I used almonds. LOL. I did make some changes though. I used the healthier graham cracker crust for the bottom and sprinkled half the recipe of crunch on top. Thanks a lot for the great recipe.

Healthier Graham Cracker Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2005
Very nice crust. I used it for a pumpkin pie and it turned out great. I omitted the cocoa and sugar but added 1/2 tsp salt. I chilled the pie shell in the refrigerator before filling it. Thanks Joane for the healthy recipe.

Black Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2005
Great recipe. It came out light and moist. I make some changes though. I used 1 1/2 cups sugar instead of 2, and olive oil instead of shortening. I also used milk instead of water, as suggested by one reviewer. My husband loved the cake. No frosting required. Thanks a lot Jeanie. This is definitely a keeper and I will make this cake again very soon.

Oven Fries

Great recipe. First, I boiled the cut potatoes until a fork could pierce easily. Then I toss them with the ingredients and baked at 450 degrees for about 15 - 20 minutes or until crispy. Thanks for sharing Barbara.
