My Oldest, a Gourmet Chef in the Making!
About this Cook
I am a mom to 2 daughters ages 8 and 10 and have been married to their daddy for 11 years. I am new to South Carolina but am loving it here.
My favorite things to cook
Pastas, hamburger dishes and crock pot recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Nothing really, just having a good time around the table and talking about our day.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking my first Thanksgiving meal perfectly.
My cooking tragedies
Tried making hashbrowns...they tasted good but were more like hash-mush and not very brown or crisp.

Turkey Delight
Awesome use of leftovers! I used instant stuffing and instant potatoes. I couldn't see why it took 45 minutes in the oven when everything is cooked, but I did it that way and it blended the flavors so well! Chicken and chicken gravy would be awesome as well. Perhaps even a can of mixed veggies in the layers. Even my children who hate stuffing loved this recipe!

Spinach-Green Bean Casserole
Awesome! I loved this with spinach. I used only 1/2 the can of cream of mushroom soup because I don't like a real mushroom taste. And I used french cut green beans. It fit perfectly into a round deep dish 9 inch casserole pan. I took this to a Thanksgiving dinner and everyone loved it!
