About this Cook
Mom, wife, business owner - BUSY!
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, quick family meals, easy, yummy stuff! I'm a lazy cook - too many steps, too much chopping, too much clean-up & I'm out.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking Christmas cookies with the girls in the family (although our male children love to bake with us now!), big family holiday meals with everyone cooking together - we have some stuff we always make but also add new recipes every year.
My cooking triumphs
Some of the recipes on this web site! I've also made some old family recipes successfully - & without help from my mother who is deceased :( - and that made me really happy!
My cooking tragedies
I baked a birthday cake for my husband during our first year of marriage & the icing was so runny it melted off the cake! Also used to make Hamburger Helper all the time until about our 2nd anniversary when my sweet husband finally told me it was yucky.

Gooey Bars
Very sweet & rich but we love stuff super-sweet so that's great for us. They are better on day 2 after the top has set fully. We liked them a lot!

Soft Sugar Cookies IV
These cookies are FANTASTIC! I used 3 tsp of vanilla & an extra 1/4 cup of sugar & they tasted great! We rolled them into balls & in sugar and also rolled some out & used cookies cutters & both worked out fine. Balls in sugar were soft & chewy and the others were pretty crispy. Wonderful recipe, easy to make w/ kids, very tasty!

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken
I make this all the time but I use dijon mustard & a little mayo so it's not so mustard-y. It's so easy & tasty - this is a good one!
