About this Cook
I am a mother of three young children. I am a stay at home mom and the cooler months bring the insatiable urge to bake! My kids love having big breakfasts on the weekends and I love trying new recipes to expand the likes of my picky husband!
My favorite things to cook
I'm definitely a better baker than cook =)
My favorite family cooking traditions
We love our family fajita nights. All made from scratch including our tortillas, re fried beans and fajita seasonings!
My cooking triumphs
Chiken Marsala! I have always found myself to struggle with cooking and finally found my niche with cooking wines!
My cooking tragedies
The truth is, what haven't I botched?!

Braised Balsamic Chicken
This was good but not great. It smelled lovely but nobody in my family cared for the taste and we like balsamic vinegar.

Christmas Creamy Egg Nog
My tastebuds weren't jumping for joy with this recipe. The flavor was quite good but the consistancy was off. The beaten egg whites made it frothy instead of creamy and it separates quickly. You end up drinking a thin flavorful liguid with a bunch of foam left in the glass when your finished. I'm still looking for a recipe that has a heavy cream in it and is a smooth, thick egg nog.

Pumpkin Fluff Dip
OMG this is incredible! I have three kids and try to volunteer to bring in goodies for the class parties. I usually make zucchini bread but it's a lot of work so I went hunting and found this beauty of a recipe! How EASY and DELICIOUS!! Teachers amongst other parents were asking for the recipe and raving over how good it was. I will say that it yields more than you might think. I doubled the recipe because I didn't think this would all fit in the size pumpkin I bought and ooops made way too much! Deffinitely make a single batch then make another if needed since it's so easy. Thanks for this incredible recipe!
