Red River Beef Stroganoff

Loved this recipe. I had cooked leftover steak I needed to use. So I cooked the onion in the butter and added the flour. Added the broth and steak and continued on with the recipe. It was wonderful. Thank you for the posting.

Beef Pot Pie III

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2008
Excellent. I have never made a pot pie and my husband loves them. I used what I had in the house. Beef was the end piece of a beef tenderloin which I dusted with flour before browning. Also sauted mushrooms and onions together and added to beef. I needed to use these up. Then continued with the recipe as written. Results were awesome. Thank you for the posting.

Potato Bread III

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2008
Excellent bread. I tweaked it a bit. I used bread flour. Five and a half cups and butter instead of shortening. Used milk to come up to 2cups, as I remember my mother using milk in her potato bread. I also added wheat gluten. The result was light and fluffy. My husband said this was his favorite bread. Thank you for the posting.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2008
Wow these were awesome. I did as other reviewer suggested and finely chopped some onion and sauted with the muchroom at the last minute I added the garlic, so as not to burn. I also buttered the mushrooms before baking. Then followed the recipe as written. My husband insisted I review this as five stars. We ate all twelve of the mushrooms. Will buy more tomorrow to finish the rest of the mix. Best stuffed mushrooms ever. Thank you for the posting.

Pork and Pepper Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2008
The best. The recipe rocks. However if you want the taste of the paparika add it to the butter, paparika needs oil to bring out the flavor. I cooked the pork with 2 pieces of bacon for the bacon fat and added it with the pork, to the roux I added 1/1/2cups of beef broth. This recipe is really good. Thank you for posting. Hope this helps.

I should not review this, but it was awesome place to start. I did what other said and did the mushroom soup and milk thing. Then a can of muchrooms with juice. I add swiss cheese and every cheese going bad in the frig. t Mixed the soup and mushroms, pepper no salt as cheese has a lot. Added more milk, up to the top of the dish and the para. cheese on the top. Turned out great. thank you for the posting.

Slow Cooker Lemon Garlic Chicken II

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
Thank you for the wonderful recipe. I used it as a base. I used chicken legs, increased the water to one and half cups and used chicken base corresponding to the amount of water. Lemon pepper for the pepper. The results were awesome. I would consider adding capers and green olives next time. Served it with white and wild rice on the side. It's a keeper.

Excellent sauce. Followed recipe as writen. However I did split in half before I added the sour cream and had the other half another day. I let the noodles sit in the sauce for a time and the flavor was awesome. Next time I will add either chiken or shrimp. Thank you

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

I made these for Christmas and New Years, great hit. The grandkids did not leave the crock pot. I did as other and tossed in a bag with sugar. Make sure the smokies are dry. Sprinkled remaining sugar on top. Lining the pan with foil is great tip. Next time I will try the suggestion of another review to spray a cooling rack and place it on the foil. Thank you
