About this Cook
I have 2 children, 5 months and 2 years. I love love love food and cooking. I love trying new receipes and have been cooking since I was a child , it's the italian way!! Mange mange !!!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make home made pizza with whole wheat dough amd fresh toppings. Yummy I love baking cheese cakes and recently descovered fondue. I would like to try it for christmas for something different!! I have recently started decorating cakes into various shapes etc. for my children It's fun!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
It's traditional to have a seafood night on x-mas eve, where every sea creature is deliciuosly put into many tantalizing dishes of course we serve them all with red wine and cheer.
My cooking triumphs
My triumphs are many!! My mother in law jokes that her son is supposed to like her cooking better but tells his mom to cook like me!! Well thats a triumph in itself.
My cooking tragedies
One time a friend and me were making a chocolate chip cookie recepie at an undisclosed childrens' facility when we realized we could'nt find flour so we rumaged frantically and found what appeared to be flour. The cookies came out of the oven hard as rocks and one cookie made it to a child's mouth as we discovered when he said "this tastes salty blahhh" We used PLASTER OF PARIS we quickly threw out all the cookies and whistled the rest of the day.

Pastetnik Potatoes
This was easy to prepare ahead of time by chopping up the potatoes and placing in water in the fridge untill ready to mix in the olive oil. It was great except my guests and I felt it was missing some zing, suggestions were to add garlic finely chopped , seaseme seeds toasted or poppy seeds also I added onions chopped to this as well. This dish goes very well with bbq'd meats!!

Broccoli Salad
I enjoyed this very much but I did blanche the broccoli for 1 minute first, I also added a tsp of chopped garlic to give it a bit more zing. I never knew broccoli could taste so good!!!
