My Personal Pic
About this Cook
i'm a 24 year old newlywed. i grew up with not much cooking experience; only pasta ronis, mac & cheese, mainly dinner boxes. i think that my grandma is the best cook in the world and i always looked forward to going to her house so i could eat her food! as a wedding gift, she gave me a customed designed recipe book with her favorite recipes in it. it is very precious to me. since getting married, i have just started my cooking journey and i have discovered a new love for cooking!
My favorite things to cook
i am horrible-- i love pasta and bread -- in other words, CARBS. I love to cook chicken, its the main meat in the home and beef is second. We don't eat pork. We eat lots of chicken. I love a lot of dishes, i can't begin to list here. I try new dishes all the time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
actually, we don't really have any. we didn't really grow up with traditions religiously enforced. each year was a bit of the same with some differences. i am hoping to start some new traditions when the babies come. i appreciate traditions. ;) For Christmas this year, (our first one), i decided i want to make crepes for christmas breakfast. everyone can choose their own fillings/toppings, how fun! yum ;)
My cooking triumphs
i think that when i got married i was a bit nervous with the cooking scene, i wanted my husband to be pleased and impressed. he thinks i am a great cook as if i've always been. i consider that an all-around triumph.
My cooking tragedies
for some reason, i just can't make cake. everytime i try to make it, something goes wrong :(

Chicken In Sour Cream
very delicious!! the only differences is i used cream of mushroom with garlic instead of just regular cream of mushroom also i didn't have any lemon juice so that was omitted. i liked it very much just as it is.. it was delicious. everyone else in the family liked it too! i will defintely be including this in our dinner usuals! :)

Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs
VERY DELICIOUS! Followed the recipe to the dot except I didn't have any ground ginger so I omitted that.. i made the marinade twice in separate containers.. one to marinate in, the other to baste on the kabobs while its grilling. It turned out fantastic. The whole family raved on it, and will make again, again, again, and again!
