Barbie Cake
About this Cook
Stay at home Mom and student, enjoy cooking healthy well-balanced meals for my family.
My favorite things to cook
I love easy one-dish meals during the week and more complex meals on the weekends. Love pasta dishes and soups.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Orange Sweet Rolls for breakfast on holidays and Cheesey Potatoes, Sausage Stuffing for Thanksgiving, and making the kids birthday cakes
My cooking triumphs
Definitely my Barbie Cake for my daughter's third birthday, 5 total hours frosting time....well worth it to see the look on her face.
My cooking tragedies
As a newlywed preparing a dish and misread the recipe and rather than dividing the butter, I mixed it all in and had none left over to brush on the pastry, it was so rich and disgusting, I have no idea how my husband got it down, must have been love because it was beyond NASTY....haven't repeated that recipe!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake
Delicious, followed as written and dumped into pre-made oversized graham cracker crust, and had extra filling, my son has been asking for another piece all day long! First cheesecake I have ever made and definitely not my last!

Beef Tips
Great idea to use a cheaper cut of meat! We loved it, served over egg noodles and I used beef broth instead of water and added a bag of frozen peas towards the end, oh and browned pieces in seasoned flour before adding to crock pot. Try it, you will be impressed!!! NO LEFTOVERS in my house of four!
