About this Cook
I am a middle school/high school art teacher that loves to cook and try new flavors whenever I get the chance. Nothing is better than drinking a glass of wine while cooking for friends and family.
My favorite things to cook
Shrimp and fish dishes are always fun because I can try a lot of new things with them. I love wine sauces and anything with Fresh vegetables!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Just hanging out in the kitchen watching my mom make a great meal while we talk about whats going on in our lives.
My cooking triumphs
I have just really started to experiment and make some recipes of my own. I think I have perfected my shrimp scampi and it is a great crowd pleaser!
My cooking tragedies
Not too many. Usually what I make is better than most if anyone is dissatisfied it is me but I haven't had any complaints yet! And now I am cooking for just one! I can't seem to figure out that proportion correctly!

Chicken Marsala
One of my favorite Chicken dishes to make. For more flavor I added thinly sliced onions to the butter and olive oil and then cooked the chicken. Gives it something extra. I also just cut the mushrooms in half so they could soak up the wine more. So good!

Szechwan Shrimp
I ended up making a very large serving of this dish so the taste may have been altered slightly. Yet I found the dish to be really tasty. There was quite a kick of spice that lingered after the initial bite. I added more garlic to the dish and I think it added a really good flavor. I also added onion, green pepper and mushrooms and lobster pieces. Very good. I would definately do again but make for a smaller group.
