By far the best Salmon recipe that I have ever made. Cooking it on the grill made it a little bit crispy & it was perfect!!! I can't wait to make this again & I am actually going to try to make the marinade for chicken too it is that good!

Strawberry Twinkie Dessert

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
This recipe was great!! I made it for our annual block party & there were hardly any leftovers. The only change that I made was I made it in a triffle bowl & cut the twinkies into thirds instead of half so that it was easier to scoop out & serve. I also layered all of the ingredients so that it looked pretty =). I will def. make this again, it was super easy!!! You just can't go wrong with Twinkies!!

Wasn't super impressed with this Salmon recipe. Thought it was a little dry & needed something to put on top.

Cupcake Graveyard

These were a HUGE hit. I made some for a Halloween party & another batch for my husband to take to work & there were no leftovers!! I used Vienna fingers for the headstones, colored white frosting green along with some coconut for the grass as suggested. I mixed Oreo's & the cookie suggested in the org. recipe for the mound of dirt (that was one of the best parts, I actually made extra & put it on some icecream too.) A gummy worm, spooky lollipop & little plastic skeleton keychains(got a bag of 40 @ Target)topped each one off & there they went! Will make again next year when my son is in kindergarten for sure!! You can't go wrong with these!!

Black Halloween Punch

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
The color of this was a hit, it looked gross. My kids loved the taste. I thought it was a bit sweet. I even left out almost half the sugar considering I was adding ginger ale. For some reason you couldn't see the fingers in the hand when I added it to the punch, they sunk maybe because they had gummy worms in them. I did fill the glove with red koolade though so it still was cool. Definitely a kids drink either way though. I got a brain mold to try that next year. Will probably make againg but I won't be drinking it.

Halloween Popcorn Pumpkins

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
These were ok. For whatever reason my popcorn got really soggy. I added 2 caramels like suggested. The taste was great it was the soft popcorn that turned me off to them. I think I will try to find another recipe for popcorn balls.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
This recipe is great! Instead of bread I made muffins instead so we could grab & go. It almost 3 dozen. My kids gobbled them up. Perfect for a quick breakfast or a mid day snack. Next time I am going to sprinkle them with a little bit of oatmeal & brown sugar like suggested.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
This recipe is a winner in my house. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I made it in a deep dish 9X13 in. pan so I was able to make 3 layers. I doubled the ricotta & followed other reviewers suggestions & only put a tsp. of salt, a full lb. of ground meat, doubled the garlic, & used almost 2 16oz packages of mozzarella cheese instead of the sliced. I also left the fennel seeds in there. I think that they really add a nice italian flavor to it. The leftovers are great too. This dish will be a staple in my house from here on out! Thanks John!

Chicken with Grape Tomatoes and Fried Basil

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
My family & I were not very impressed with this recipe. I am so bummed. I couldn't wait to taste it because of all of the good reviews & the ingredients are all some of my favorites. It was very bland, I wish I had thought to add some garlic to the sauce like some other reviews suggested. The fried basil tasted very oily to me so it was not my favorite. I probably won't be making this again, sadly.

Maple Pork Slices

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2008
This recipe is fast & easy. I did make one change though, instead of mixing all of the ingredients in the baggy I put the garlic in with the butter, layed all the slices out on a cutting board & sprinkled both sides with the spices. I tried the baggy thing but the wet garlic & the dry ingredients made a paste so it did not coat the pieces like it said it would. They turned out great.

Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2008
The chicken was great. I didn't have sesame oil & didn't want to lug my kids out to get it so I left it out & used a little it of olive oil instead. I was delicious though. I didn't want to take the time to take off the skin either so I left it on. It was quick & easy & made great leftovers.
