About this Cook
I am a wife and mother of three. I love to cook and generally end up making all the holiday dinners for my husbands side of the family. I also love to bake desserts and cookies, make candies, and all sorts of goodies. It gives me great pleasure to see people enjoy my cooking. I have often thought about opening a bakery, but there is a alck of funds.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make stir fries, but my specialty is when I make Crab Rangoons to go with the stir fry. I don't really have a recipe, as I just throw it together. I also like to bake cookies and such.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Dad making fudge for the Holidays. I have now taken on the tradition, but mine never turns out quite the same.
My cooking triumphs
"Winging it" on my first attempt of making Crab Rangoons, and every one telling me they were better than any restaurants they've had.
My cooking tragedies
Every year, my first batch of home made old fashioned fudge, turns out ROCK HARD. I have yet to figure out why, but I have just accepted the fact that I will throw at least one batch of fudge away every year.

Scones
I have done many different things to this recipe and they all turned out great. One thing I did was add 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon to the mixture then stirred in 1 cup of cinnamon baking chips.GREAT!!! Another twist was to substitute brown sugar for the white sugar, then stirred in 1 1/2 cups of toffee bits. Then I cut into mini scones to make them more bite size. AWESOME!! Will continue to use this recipe over and over agian!!!

Lemon Icebox Pie II
Had great flavor, after adding 1 tsp grated lemon peel. But ended up freezing it to get it to set. It was really runny, not firm like the recipe says it will be.
