my name is George, and i have been cooking since i was 5 years old. My mother taught me to cook and my fondest meomories are of cooking with her. I also enjoy gardening, computers, ham radio, and walking. I'am also showing my "little helper" my 6 month old son how much fun it is to cook. my favorite things are new things. either a new recipe or something made up-on-the-go. i also love cooking mexican, italian, and than of course the baked goods, desserts and such. favorite tradition has to be the 2-3 weeks before thanksgiving, start of the holiday baking season. making holiday treats for relatives and co-workers. also cooking thanksgiving with family, watching and learning different ways to make that turkey. when i was 18 years old having my family over to my new apartment on thanksgiving and completely cooking thanksgiving dinner by myself for my family. of course the cook didn't have to do the dishes, as it turned out just wonderful trying to impress my wife with my "family" recipe having to do with spam, apples, and cheese. needless to say those three things cost me that night about $100.00 due to having to go get lobster and crab legs.
