About this Cook
I'm a recent grad from Cal State Fullerton just starting a new chapter in my life. I've got my first job, a boyfriend turned fiance and (most stressful) a new puppy. I love to cook; it's my stress reliever.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything healthy. I'm a huge veggie fan, so I try to cook with as many vegetables as possible. I'm also a very balanced chef: Everything can be healthy in moderation, I like to cook a variety of styles/methods, and my meals are nutritionally balanced.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's cooking tradition is to never cook something twice unless the family rates it a 10. We are always trying something new.
My cooking triumphs
I love trying a new recipe, adding my own twist and having my fiance tell me its the best meal he's ever had.
My cooking tragedies
I got lazy and made fajitas one time with a sauce packet...disgusting.

Herbed Potato Soup
This was really good (with the changes I made)! I took the advice of others and added about 1/4 cup diced celery and 1 crushed garlic clove with the butter. I only had dried onions flakes so I used those instead. I also put a dash of paprika into it as well. I used chicken broth instead of the water, but ended up using about 1/2 cup water also in order to make the soup less thick. I also only had fat free 1/2 and 1/2 on hand, so I used that instead of the milk. Next time, I think that a couple slices of diced bacon would be delicious in this soup! I'll add it to the onion saute next time.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas
I added extra veggies (mushrooms, zucchini, peas and green beans) because I love veggies and tripled the sauce due to the extra veggies. It was not good at all. The sauce was sour! I tried to add more brown sugar, but it really didn't do anything.

Green Bean Stir-Fry
Delicious! I would maybe 1/2 the sauce, though, if you like green beans. The sauce its good, but seems to overpower the bean flavor. I made these with Pad Thai, and my fiance loved it!
