Cajun Barbecued Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
I really like the simplicity of this recipe. I added some sliced garlic cloves and some hot pepper sauce, to our taste. Put all in a Ziploc bag, marinated for 4 hours. My husband could not believe how moist the breasts were. (I usually buy boneless thighs, for the grill, have always had bad drying issues with breasts.) This is definitely a keeper and thank you! Leftovers are going in his lunch tomorrow, with a smile.

French Dip Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
This is very good. I had hesitations for all the soy sauce so I cut the amount back, just a bit. Instead of water, to cover the roast, I used a can of beef broth, then added a little water, too. Garlic cloves to float and cook, for our tastes. I separated the meat from the juice, served on bakery hoagie rolls, au jus and had a great sandwich! Thank you for sharing this one.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
I had no Ranch dressing, but Creamy Italian dressing. Usually we have the outdoor grill going, but a rainy day, so I used the Cuisinart Griddler, which I hardly ever use. I kept to the recipe, except using the Italian dressing, no salt. Prepped chicken thighs, cut up, to marinate for 4 hours. Put on skewers and grilled. OH MY. How nice. I will be serving these again and again!

YUMMM, good old comfort food. You just cannot get this from a box. I added extra ham and some chopped green onion. Bake until bubbly and GOOD!

Creamy Kielbasa and Potato Soup

I read most of the reviews and do not like to alter the original recipe, too much. If you alter the recipe, you might as well write your own and post, accordingly. I used a 16 oz. pkg. of Hillshire Farms Lil' Smokies saugage, sliced, in place of the Kielbasa. Thank you for this bowl of GOOD!!!!!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
I have not had a Sloppy Joe in years and I guess I was in the mood. I used a red pepper instead of green and decreased the brown sugar to 1 Tbls. A couple shots of hot sauce and served with fries. Good, I will make again.

Chicken Teriyaki - It's a Secret

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
This was pretty good - I used thin, boneless, pork loin chops and grilled outside. I cut the soy amounts and added some Complete Seasoning. I felt guilty there was a lot of mayo used for a marinade. But it was good flavor.

Slow Cooker Spicy Black-Eyed Peas

This will be the 2nd New Years Day I have made this recipe and have also prepared it many times for our backyard BBQ's. I also use chicken broth and not so much liquid. Black eyes don't absorb that much. Really tasty recipe. Going to go great with my grilled chickens and cornbread.

DeeAnn's Cheesy Bacon Cabbage

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
I have made this 3 times now-they want it once a week. I used pkgd. bacon pieces and a little oil to cook the cabbage. Added onion, garlic and sprinkled just a handful of cheese on top. Really good flavors and a must have.

I cut the recipe in half and made 1 pie. Delicious! I added more onions then reduced and carmelized them for that sweet flavor. Added chopped tomato and a few bacon bits. Excellent recipe!

Grilled Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2008
We made this recipe as is. Excellent! 5 Stars! I do have to say that I will not give up my breaded, deep fried wings, that we occasionally prepare. Comparing good, old, deep fried wings and these wonderful grilled wings are 2 separate animals! Had a small problem with the wings falling through the grate and the meat falling off the bone so we will try whole wings, not cut up, the next time. He also put them all on the grill for the final cook time and ended up basting the wings for the last 8 minutes. Definitely going to have these again. Ranch dressing and celery sticks on the side for dipping and a good cold beer. Thanks for sharing this great recipe!

I really enjoyed this recipe - simple to prepare and great taste. I used boneless chicken thighs, doubled the mushrooms and lemon butter sauce, added garlic and served with an orzo dish and salad. Husband kept commenting on how GOOD this was.

Very nice recipe - I used olive oil and some Cajun seasoning. Plus parchment paper for anything baked, for no stick and even browning. Something that is always on my shelf. Good recipe, a keeper.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

We are done searching for the perfect wing recipe! We have always purchased Hooters wing breading and it has become more difficult to find. Followed recipe to a tee and they were the best wings we have ever made. Adjust seasonings to your taste, we will be adding more, the next time. Refrigeration of the wings is crucial. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
