Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
oh my GOODNESS! Made these twice in two days...once as a test for the hubby's co-workers and after the ok again today. They are so GOOD!! I followed exactly - refigerated 20 min or so and used a smaller size ice cream scoop to give me more cookies. The first batch today had a slight mishap - the oven somehow was bumped to about 425 and the cookies were done in like 10 min. I thought they looked burnt but they were SO good... crunchy on top and bottom with bits of crunchy chocolate chip and a very moist almost raw inside. Cooked just enough. Thanks for the recipe!!!

Candied Kielbasa

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
delicious!! Cooked in the oven in a 9x13 pan. I cooked for 90 min stirring after 30 min and every 30 min thereafter. Next time I will use a smaller dish as these turned out very delicious but a tad chewy on the ones not soaked in sauce. Added a little bit of bbq sauce, a splash of hot sauce and a bit mroe saurkraut.

Sugar Free Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
Ok - I am not diabetic but do try and eat low carb. That being said - I made a couple changes that made these pretty good! I took one packet of SF choc pudding and put it into the 1 cup measuring cup. I then made up for most of the difference with Splenda but did add .25 cup sugar (for sweetness) I also added mint choc chips and I used a stand mixer with a whip to fluff it up. I then sprinkled coconut on top. YUMMY... very dense and cake like.

Apple Banana Cupcakes

Delicious!! I try to not substitute ingredients as I feel that after altering them you cannot really give an honest review but this time I had to! The changes I made were - sub applesauce for the shortening, used splenda instead of sugar and I added raisins and cinnamon chips ... oh my they are great!! But not cupcake like - more very moist little muffins. Thanks so much!

Obviously the potato measurements are off - I hate when people cannot figure it out and give a bad review.... These are fantastic!! Adjust accordingly and to your taste. My family gobbled them up and my 4 yr old had seconds. A keeper for sure!! Thanks!?

Easy Toffee Bars

OMG! get them out of my house NOW!! Ha! I didnt change much - lined pan with tinfoil and sprayed with butter flavored pam. Poured the sugar over the crackers and made sure it got underneath (so the bottoms are covered) and toasted some almod slices because I didnt have walnuts. Also - ran out of chocolate chips so added some mini baking kisses and butterscotch chips. They are so delicious!!

I wanted so badly to love these. I made them for my little ones 4th bday at day care. I cooked 20 minutes as the tops were still very uncooked at 16 minutes. When they were cool I went to frost and the were crumbly and fell apart. I followed recipe to a t! Can anyone email me and give me a hint as to why? I would love to try again.

Fluffy White Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
Delicious!! I used a stand mixer and beat egg whites until VERY firm... I let the sugar mixture boil about 5-7 minutes AFTER it came to a boil. I slowly poured in the sugar mixture in about .25 cup increments and when it was all in I mixed on high about 10 minutes. I also added crushed candy canes to the mixture and a tiny bit of red food dye. I put this on top of milk chocolate cupcakes with a milk choclolate candy center. They were AWESOME!! I frosted a day in advance and experienced NO crystalization of the frosting nor did I get a crunchy top. I was soft and marshmallowy....
