My husband doesn't enjoy oats in his crisps, and so luckily I could turn to allrecipes, as usual, for some help. We both really enjoyed this recipe, although, when I make it again I will change a few things. As is, the recipe is worth 4 stars. I used macoun apples, which were perfect, but I used all white sugar, as listed in the recipe, and wish I had gone with previous reviewers suggestions and used half white and half brown sugar, just for that golden look if not for flavor. Also, I think I'll used apple cider or apple juice in place of the water next time. I will come back and revise this review when I make it again, and being apple season here in New England, that should be rather soon!
