After meeting the man of my dreams in Massachusetts; 700 miles away from home, we together, realized new dreams. In the kitchen we are more excited and more in love than any other place. A dinner at home always beats a restaurant meal, we choose the menu, the soundtrack, and the company. Our love of cooking together has blossomed into a dream of opening our own bed and breakfast as our semi-retirement home. Anything with fruit in it. I just love pies, and crisps, cobblers, and fruit flecked breads. Drin ( my husband) enjoys baking cookies and his famous crumby chicken. Every Christmas we bake batch after batch of cookies to give to our friends, church, and co-workers. Many have admitted that our cookies are better than their mothers! My biggest triumph is discovering that my husband was also interested in culinary delights. Our marriage is stronger in part because of our kitchen. My biggest kitchen tragedy was watermelon daquiris. My best friend and I decided to have a little girl fun, and I didn't wait for the blender to stop spinning before I stuck the wooden spoon in....watermelon went everywhere, even on the ceiling.
