Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
This was really good. I made it for Thanksgiving to save on oven room. It was so low maintenance. I started with half of the chicken broth recommended based on other reviews saying it was too moist. However, by the end, I probably added about the amount that the recipe stated and it was perfectly moist. I also used fresh herbs because I had them. And for those afraid of putting mushrooms in like I was, (based on some people not liking mushrooms)...you couldn't even see them in the end...but their flavor helped. The leftovers were even better.

Pumpkin French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
I make french toast every week and love pumpkin so this was a must try for me. I doubled the pumpkin and added splenda to the batter. It turned out light and fluffy and was great with powdered sugar on top. Would recommend for something different.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
For the ease of making this recipe, it was pretty darn good. I cooked the chicken with hot sauce and a mixture of ranch dressing and blue cheese dressing. We didn't have the dried ranch on hand and this worked out fine. This recipe definitely packed some heat though.

Guinness® Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
This was super! ....moist, flavorful, hearty, and relatively healthy. First of all, I did not use Guinness. I had a Smithwick's on hand so I had to make the best of it. I did not have buttermilk so I used 1 Tbsp of lemon juice mixed with 1c milk and let it sit for 5 min. I used splenda brown sugar mix, light butter, and baked it in an 8x6 pan for ten minutes less than stated. It was perfect and just may have to replace my go-to beer bread recipe from this site (whole wheat beer bread). Loved this this one had oats. Also, I wasn't expecting it to be as sweet as it was and may decrease the sugar next time. Although my sweet tooth can't complain. Thank you for the recipe!

Company Couscous

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
This was reallt good and healthy! I used chicken broth in place of water and 1 cup worked just fine. I did not think it was too dry as others had mentioned. I also used less of the olive oil and omitted the parmesan cheese just because I thought it tasted great without it.

Green Punch

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
I made this for a St. Patty's Day luncheon at work and I was not disappointed! This was very well received by my coworkers and very refreshing. I did not use the 2 cups of sugar and cannot imagine the recipe with it. It would be too much! In fact, if I made again, I would use sugar free jello and diet ginger ale to save some sugar. Overall, great recipe. Thanks!

Grilled Shrimp and Apple Skewers

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
This was quite unique and tasty! Since it is winter, I baked these in the oven on skewers at 400 degrees for about 8 minutes. The apples were so tender and the shrimp just right.

Mixed Greens with Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2008
I used a prepackaged bag of salad and this was incredibly simple and quick. I omitted the tarragon because I didn't have it but otherwise followed this exactly. I really enjoyed the light but tangy dressing. I loved that it didn't require oil! Will definitely make again. Thanks!

Creamy Chicken

Probably the easiest dinner ever made. So creamy and delicious over pasta. We had broccoli on the side and realized while eating, that it would have tasted even better mixed in.

Szechwan Shrimp

This was delicious. I followed the recipe except forgot to buy green onions (it was super tasty without). My fiance and I thought the amount of spice was perfect. I doubled the sauce and served over rice!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
This was fabulous..the best and easiest chili I have ever made! Based on other reviews I of course had some additions. While browning the meat, I added a whole onion with some garlic. To the chili, I added 1 can (15oz) of pinto beans, a whole (16oz) jar of salsa, and 1 (15oz) can of diced tomatoes with green chiles. To spice it up, I added ceyenne pepper, oregano, basil, and brown sugar. My coworkers all raved!

Italian Sausage and Zucchini

After adding italian seasoning, basil, thyme, oregano, garlic salt, crushed red pepper, and extra garlic...this was fantastic! We made it with Morningstar Farms Vegetarian sausage links and my fiance and I loved it.

Crab Lasagna Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2008
My fiance and I enjoyed this as is. However, to give it five stars I think I would need to use real crabmeat, less of the italian flavoring, and add "old bay" or spicy seasonings.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Wow! These were really good. I made them with whole wheat flour, egg beaters, and splenda. Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. They were fluffy, hearty, delicious, and easy to make!

Cajun Crab Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
This soup was superb! I used half and half in place of the heavy cream and I can't see any reason why you would need to make it with the cream. In fact, I don't think all of the butter is necessary either. I would probably cut it in half next time. Other than that, everything was perfect as is. We loved it and will definitely make again!

Kerri's Holiday Punch

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2008
I made this for a holiday Christmas Party and I was surprised how well-received this was. Knowing that most of the guests were beer & wine drinkers, I didn't anticipate them choosing the punch. However, it went very quickly and I got many compliments. The ingredients are easy to find and its easy to make!

Baked Chicken Nuggets

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2008
This was tasty with sauce. Mine were a little on the dry side, but this didn't stop us from eating them. This could have been due to cooking them a little too long, although I did follow the recipe cook time & temp. I baked them on the wire rack as suggested & liked the crispiness. I also did the dipping in egg rather than butter. We enjoyed these as a healthy chicken nugget with honey mustard and ranch sauce.

Tantalizingly Tangy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2008
This is a winner! Having tried and loved the "Brown Sugar Meatloaf" recipe on this site, I wanted to try a similar recipe. Unfortunately, I realize mid-way that I did not have any brown sugar. I needed to substitute white sugar with a dash of soy sauce. It was still good but not as ideal as the brown sugar. I also used pureed pineapple (rather than preserves) and added garlic powder, garlic salt, & pepper to the meat as others had suggested.
