About this Cook
I am happy cooking when I want to. It becomes a big chore if I have to do it when I'm hungry instead of in the mood.
My favorite things to cook
Chicken. King Crab legs. Easy. Intricate.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Polish cooking. My Mom's old recipes.
My cooking triumphs
I have had several meals turn out really good. I have had a few recipes published in magazines.
My cooking tragedies
too many to list.

Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Stuffed with Spinach and Ricotta
This recipe was OK. For the amount of time I spent on it, I wanted it to be more than 3 stars.

Fried Steak with Peppercorn Gravy Sauce
I didn't want to waste an entire bottle of wine for just one TB. I used Red wine vinegar and thought the out come was fine. I also cooked the steaks in butter and Olive Oil , put on a plate to keep warm, then deglazed the pan with a bit of beer (we DID have one of those open. I added the prepared gravy and mushrooms to the pan, cooked long enough to heat the mushrooms thru then put the steaks and accumulated juice back in to coat.
