Double Almond Chocolate Chip Cookies (Gluten-free)

This was okay and many got eaten, however the texture was very oily resulting in a delicate floppy cookie. I will make them again and work out the kinks, love the idea behind the recipe.....just not great or presentable as it.

Simple Vanilla Syrup for Lattes

Delish! No corn syrup, no chemicals, no preservatives, literally takes minutes to prepare AND taste wonderful....what more can you ask for!

Cafeteria Macaroni and Cheese

Texture was pretty bad....clumpy and gritty. Also found the mustard flavor to be a bit strong. This was to be the "main attraction" for dinner, so the meal was a huge let down.

Love the idea of using white chocolate, but this is just overpoweringly sweet making it hard to actually taste anything other than sugar. Super disappointed

Kitty Kat Bars

I reduced the white sugar to half cup, used club-house type crackers, and used 2 cups milk chocolate chips (no butterscotch) with peanut butter for the topping. I give them four starts because I have quite a sweet tooth and enjoy the sweet treat, but my other half only ate half a bar and said they were way too sweet....needless to say they are lasting a long time with just me eating them, but I have been happily nibbling on them for days and they are still crunchy!

It's Chili by George!!

This was great! Had crushed tomatoes on hand that replaced the juice, but have no doubt that almost any tomato base would give an awesome result. The quantities and spices are just wonderful, I have tried a variety of chili recipes from allrecipes that were okay, but all seemed to be missing something....my searching has ended and this will be my go-to recipe, everybody just loved it and we gladly gobbled up all the leftovers :)

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Followed recipe as written, majority of the cinnamon filling ran out/over flowed while in the oven resulting in rather dry and bland little cinnamon buns. I may try and make them again to see if I was off, as they seem to have gotten great reviews from many others....

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Very good...used only 2 cups white and 2 cups brown sugar, baked mini muffins (12 mins) and regular muffins (24 mins), sprinkled with powdered sugar and they turned out great. I may slightly increase the amount of pumpkin increase the pumpkin flavor and moisture/density of the bread next time.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Good recipe for big, chewy cookies....only gave four stars because I use only brown sugar and no white, they were still very sweet. I change up the type of chocolate chip/nut depending on what I'm in the mood for. They do always stay rather flat, perhaps because of the molasses content in the brown sugar, but taste and texture are great without the extra processed white sugar-so worth the compromise.

Caesar Salad II

I thought this recipe seemed a bit strange at first, but man, am I glad I tried it! It is very good, and veg-heads as well as meat eaters can enjoy it. I made my own croutons, as many store brands use partially hydrogenated oils in them, so it was even more healthy. Great salad!

Delish! I gave it 4 stars as I did modify the recipe...added a little extra baking soda and a little baking powder after reading other reviews and eliminated the white sugar. They came out the perfect texture and were plenty sweet with just the brown sugar!

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

I wouldn't really say this was a bad or good recipe. Probably won't make it again, I don't really see myself craving it. I do not eat meat and found it to be ok and my roomie is a meat eater and he disliked it, couldn't even choke down a whole patty. I would say it is worth a shot if it sounds good to you, just not our fancy!
