About this Cook
I'm a WAHM, married to a one in a million guy for 9 years. I have two daughters, ages 3 & 5. Me and my girls are always busy. We don't believe in cable tv.
My favorite things to cook
Italian. My daddy's Italian and mom always cooked what he liked. It's usually fast and easy too.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We all get our favorite meals and cakes on our birthdays. It's so fun to cook and bake for your loved ones on their special day. Also, these Italian cookies my dad makes at Christmas. No one really likes them but him. That doesn't stop him from making dozens though, and we help.
My cooking triumphs
I've just recently become interested in cooking. My children are older and starting to have better appetites. I'm a wonderful cook as long as I have a recipe! I am proud that friends and family think of me as a good cook. I wouldn't have been described that way only a few short years ago.
My cooking tragedies
Here's my eating tragedy - My husband made eggs for me once. I couldn't eat any of it. I asked him what happened. He said he used too much salt, but then it disappeared. So, he figured it was okay.

Mrs. Sigg's Peanut Butter Cookies
These are wonderful! If you take them out at 8 minutes or a little less, they are nice and soft. They will be really soft, but will set as they cool.

Chicken Pot Pie I
I used refridgerated pie crusts, frozen veggies, and some pepper. Those are the only changes. It was soooo good. I may play with the seasonings next time, but great as is. I also baked it in a square stone. I think it's easier to serve that way. Also baked the bottom crust 10 min, then put it together and baked the whole thing 30 min and then put it under the broiler for 5 min or so to brown the top.
