Gotta love a biker who can cook!
About this Cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
Ah...family traditions! Mom's Porcupine Meatballs and Dad's Beef and Potatoes. I suppose I'll share the recipes eventually... And from my own kitchen: Baked Rice Pudding
My cooking triumphs
The first time I attempted Brie en Croute, it was a resounding success! Not only did the Brie turn out wonderfully molten; I had never attempted Puff Pastry before, and the results were phenomenal!
My cooking tragedies
First time I made Pinto Beans, though I soaked them as instructed, they did not soften during cooking and ended up in the dog's dish...

Herbalicious Shrimp Dip
Didn't have green onion, sour cream, tarragon...but it tastes great subbing cream cheese for the sour cream; and though it's missing some critical flavors, it's not lacking at all. Also, lacking a blender or food processor at the moment, I simply cut the shrimp into really small pieces. I'm not a Low-Fat person, so I'm not sure how hard-core mayo and cream cheese alter the flavor. Definitely a "keeper!"

Very Chocolate Cookies
Didn't have chocolate chips, but that didn't matter; I wanted to bake some chocolate cookies. I will look for no others, here or anywhere! I made my first batch using butter -- I never use margarine -- but goofed and used baking soda; slightly crunchy with slightly chewy centers. In other words, PERFECT! Second batch -- three days later! -- I made a double batch using baking powder as called for; these came out more chewy and less crunchy. In other words, also PERFECT! Wish I could give this recipe TEN stars!
