About this Cook
My name is Jennifer. I am married and do not currently have any children. We have two dogs and two cats who entertain us at the moment. I was born in '82 and grew up in a family who made southern home cooked meals. Unfortunately, I didn't get the skill of cooking or any of the recipes so I've had to learn from scratch. I basically learned to cook from this website! I've never been able to cook from memory or as I go, I HAVE to have step by step directions for something to come out right. I've been cooking for about 8 or so years now and am definately getting better thanks to some of the awesome recipes from this site! Thanks so much for those of you who post the wonderful recipes!!!
My favorite things to cook
Pasta, soups, and vegetables.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Just cooking any meal that my family raves about. That definately makes it worth all the hard work if everybody enjoys it!
My cooking tragedies
My main problem is getting muffins not to stick to the pan, even though I grease the heck out of the pan, or trying not to mess up a cake baked in a bundt pan. They never come out right for me :(

Baked Scallops
Very tasty. I believe next time I will use 1/2 the amount of scallops and only 1/2 of the breadcrumb mixture. I will lightly sprinkle breadcrumb mixture as, my dish was rather mushy.

Easy Vegetable Pot Pie
I was amazed at how tasty this recipe was, considering how easy it was to make! The only thing I would change is I would decrease the amount of Thyme to only 1/4 tsp because it was a little overpowering. Other than that, I added a little salt in the mixture and it came out great! THANK YOU!
