I've gotten rave reviews everytime I make this recipe! The changes I make are as follows: I replace 1 of the spinach packages with mushrooms, use ricotta instead of cottage cheese and I always cover the top with mozzerella (i love cheese!) I've also prepared this the night before and bake at dinner time and it comes out great.

This was really yummy! I did as others suggested and added more lemon juice in the end and also didn't add a full quart of broth. I agree with most people in that it was more of a soup than stew. I'll be making this again soon!

These were really good. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I felt like it was a little too rich for me. I took this to a dinner at a friend's house and everyone there loved it! I did try the suggestion of adding nuts to the cake layer. It was good, but I think it would be just as good without it.
