Sparky's Doggie Treats
These are great!!! My dog and her friends rate this a 10 star. They are schnoodles and shih-poos. I think they really liked the chewy consistency of the cookies. I made some in the shape of dog bones, and also used the lid of an oil container to make small bite-sized treats, because I always end up breaking other cookies in half. This was a great dough to work with, and they held their shape perfectly when I rolled them and cut them out. This recipe makes quite a bit of cookies, I halved it and it still filled my doggie cookie jar, and had plenty to give away. Next time I will cut it in 1/4 because the cookies started going moldy after a week. And there is no way we could ever go through that many cookies. Not sure if there is anyway to prevent this without adding any preservatives... Maybe freezing batches? Regardless I love that I know what my dog is eating, I used organic/ sugar-free peanut butter (100% peanuts). Your dog will love this special treat!!

Country White Bread
I have made many different types of bread from this site, and this is certainly a favorite. It does make a lot of dough. 2 VERY large loafs, or 3 smaller ones. It is a touch sweet, which makes it a delicious breakfast bread or for a snack. If you want a more savory bread just use less sugar, but keep some to activate the yeast. I also use the dough to make cinnamon rolls. Just mix together some melted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon and spread on a square flattened piece of dough, before second rise. Roll up and slice into rounds (like sushi rolls). I usually make on Sunday mornings and use half the dough for cinnamon buns for breakfast, and the other half for bread to go with dinner. Try it, and it will become a quick favorite!

Never Fail Biscuits
These were very good biscuits! A tip for easy combination of the butter and flour mixture if you don't have a food processor is to grate the butter with a cheese grater, and pop it into the freezer for 5 minutes while you are mixing the dry ingredients. Then quickly mix in butter till course, then add cold milk and mix until combined. You still want to have small 'pockets' of the shredded butter... this is what makes them flaky. I prepared the dough in my stand mixer, as I do not have a food processor. I made made the dough and baked in a 8x8 cake pan and topped with whipped cream and strawberries for a shortcake. Delicious!
