I'm a working Mom with a husband and two teen-age children who prefer home-cooked meals to eating out. I try to plan ahead and keep the fridge stocked so that when my kids and their friends come in, there's always something good to eat. I'm always up for a challenge to try new dishes, but seem to keep going back to our old favorites. Jambalaya, gumbo, crawfish etouffe and other South Louisiana dishes. Holiday meals are always the best. I like having parties and cooking for a lot of people at once. The meatloaf that they will never let me forget; I think it actually would have bounced if we had tried. The BBQ ribs which I forgot on the grill aka ashtrays. Fried rice noodles (who knew they would grow that much when they touched the hot oil). Too many others to mention. But, its been fun.
