About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, hors'dourves and gourmet
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making Christmas cookies with my boys.
My cooking tragedies
Chocolate Chip Cookies. I know, it seems so simple and common. But mine spread and flatten on the pan, therefore become extremely crispy. I've changed from margarine to butter, temperature of the oven, cooking time, etc. I guess this is the one thing I'll never figure out.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken
I grilled it instead of baking it. I cut the chicken into bite size pieces and marinated them in a large ziplock with the Teriyaki sauce for a few hours before placing them on kabob skewers and grilling. Delicious!

Raspberry Star Cookies
These cookies are so good! I make them every year for Christmas. I did change the recipe slightly for my own tastes. I do not do a drizzle frosting. Instead, as soon as the cookies come out of the oven, I dust them with powdered sugar. But, because raspberry and almond flavors do mesh well together, I do add a tsp. of almond extract to the cookie batter. These are also cute using a snowflake shaped cutter.

Microwave Caramel Popcorn
This was very easy and tasted quite good. I was wondering if the microwave would make it chewey or tough like micros do to some foods, but it was really good. Will use again for movie night with my kids.
