Basil and Pesto Hummus
This was my first attempt at making hummus. I didn't have balsamic vinegar so I skipped it. I added a splash of lemon juice, and some paprika (because I love paprika!). I think I added a lot more olive oil than 1 tbsp because it seemed awful dry. Overall it had a really good taste!

Black Walnut Ice Cream
I was looking for a homemade version of Marble Slab's Black Walnut ice cream, so naturally I chose to make this one first. I left out the Black Walnuts as I wanted a smooth texture without add-ins. The texture of the ice cream was good for a "no-cook" ice cream recipe. The flavor was somewhat lacking. I think if I make this one again I will double the amount of Black Walnut extract.

Buttery Soft Pretzels
Great recipe!! I tried this one out of the 3 or so others and I was not disappointed! My tweaks for the recipe: used 4 cups flour; only used 2 cups water and 1/4 cup baking soda for the "bath" and I put it in a saucepan to keep it warmed/to dissolve the baking soda; used 1 tbsp butter instead of oil; used 1/4 cup sugar instead of 1/2. I also did the egg wash step before they went into the oven. I have a gas oven and had to reduce cooking time to 4.5-5 miniutes so they were nice and soft. No complaints & husband loves them! Thanks for the recipe :)
