Birthday Bones

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
I have two dogs, and they love these. Instead of baking them in bone shapes I just roll them into little balls. One recipe makes something like 12 dozen treats! I like that I know exactly what my girls are eating, and the dogs love them as well.

French Bread

This was my first time making French bread, and my second time making any kind of bread, and it came out amazing! I was very pleased :)

Soft Breadsticks

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2009
I've made this recipe a number of times, and it always comes out good. My only real disappointment is that the sticks can look a little greasy when they come out of the oven, although they don't taste greasy. I started using olive oil instead of butter because I didn't have any butter one time, and I like the taste a bit better. Also, I add a little bit of extra flour because I always ended up needing to add it during the kneading anyway. Other than that, great :)

Easy Apple Crisp

This is a great and easy recipe. I've made it a number of times for lots of occasions, and it's become rather infamous. Last year I was even asked to make it for a friend's wedding. Great stuff.

Simple Scones

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2007
I woke up one morning with a burning desire to make scones (for the first time ever, might I add), and this recipe made it easy. They were just delicious. I substituted fat free vanilla yogurt for the sour cream and that worked great. They were delicious, and my family begged me to make them again.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2006
This recipe was amazing, and my whole family loved it. A little tip thought, if you or someone in your family isn't huge on really spicy food, substitute at least one of the cans of diced tomatoes with green chiles for just a can of diced tomatoes alone. It was a bit too spicy for our tastes, which honestly could have less to do with the chiles and more to do with the brand of taco seasoning. But yea, a great recipe.

Spinach Cheese Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2005
I tried this recipe once and loved it so much I layered it in between noodles and tomato sauce for a really good spinach lasagna. It was a great vegetarian alternative to turkey, and my Thanksgiving guests loved it!
