I've been a widow for 17 years but have extended family and friends I like to entertain. I have moved nearly 600 miles from my daughter but keep in contact weekly. Most of my brothers/sisters aunts etc still live in Central Illinois where I love to visit.
My favorite things to cook
I love to BBQ nearly 12 months of the year. Idaho is a wee bit cold in the winter but the BBQ is always on my porch. Also cook a mean spagetti sauce but As I am trying to loose weight I try to keep the carbs at a minimum.

Triumphs limited to not burning any recipes in 40 + years of cooking.....BELIEVE IT OR NOT.... (Not to say they didn't turn out badly though)
My cooking tragedies
The one thing I remember is using a measurement of salt instead of sugar (it was in wrong canister)
