Pineapple Sheet Cake II
Perhaps I did something wrong, but I'm pretty sure I followed the recipe exactly. My cake was very brown after 30 min, but it was still raw inside...it took 50 min to bake completely, so all the edges ended up being really brown (after 30 min I turned down the oven temp to try and prevent over-browning). The cake itself was also brown on the inside, which I thought was strange. It had an ok texture, but it didn't have much of a pineapple flavor and wasn't very sweet. Maybe using pineapple in syrup instead of natural juice would have worked better. I'd also do it at a lower temp. right from the beginning if I were to make it again. On the plus side, it was easy to make and there wasn't much clean-up required!

Bacon Chestnuts
Mmmm, Bacon Waterchestnuts are delicious! Every year for as long as I can remember we've had these as appetizers for the holidays. Our family gobbles them up so fast! We've switched to using turkey bacon these days and they're even tastier! Very highly recommended (and they do not need any dipping sauce - they are perfect just the way they are!).

Sausage Balls
Sausage balls are so delicious! We make them every Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's as appetizers and they are the biggest hit with my family. I've always used 2 C. Bisquick (usually the low-fat one) 8 oz. Cheese Whiz (lite) and 1 lb. Bob Evans Hot Sausage (I think the hot bit is essential as it gives them a bit of a kick). We've also made it with regular turkey sausage (for non red-meat and non spicey food eaters) and they turn out just ok. I've never made it with shredded cheese before, but maybe I'll give it a try someday.
